Advanced Surgical Implantology Course

This 2-day course is intended for clinicians with a good understanding of the principles of straightforward implant placement who would like to develop their range of treatment. With a focus on thorough treatment planning, emphasizing “crown-down” philosophies, participants are invited to present cases from their own practice for discussion with the interdisciplinary panel. This course will also explore options for treatment of ridge defi ciencies, presented through interactive discussion of recorded surgical procedures. Esthetic parameters involved in advanced cases will be discussed with a view to predictable results. The hands-on exercise will allow opportunity for application of principles learned. Course Objectives: • Recognize evidence based ITI consensus on issues such as immediate placement and loading protocols • Instinctively develop sequential treatment plans by understanding fundamentals of case diagnosis • Understand esthetic risk assessment (ERA) and surgical and prosthetic considerations for predictable outcomes • Review ridge augmentation techniques and materials, and discuss their efficacy and indications • Consider potential placement related complications and effective management of these Hands-on (porcine mandibles): • Advanced flap design • Deficiency creation • Augmentation • Membrane placement • Suture techniques Duration: 2 days Tuition: $1795 CDN plus applicable taxes Type: Lecture and hands-on Registration Policy: Registrations are taken on a first come, first served basis. Registrations are not considered final until payment is received. Your registration will be confirmed by mail within two weeks of receipt of registration. Cancellations made 15-29 days prior to the course starting – 50% of the registration fee will be refunded. Cancellations made 0-14 days prior to the course starting – refund issued in the form of a credit towards future courses. *Please note that a $50 administration fee will apply towards all refunds. Straumann reserves the right to cancel courses that do not meet the minimum enrolment. The registration fee will be refunded, in full, within two weeks of cancelling the course. Straumann reserves the right to change and or substitute its speakers and topics. This course qualifies for 12 hours of continuing education credits. Straumann Canada is an ADA CERP recognized provider.
