Advanced Techniques for Esthetic Implant Restorations

Predictably esthetic restorations begin with detailed assessment and planning. This course will focus on the parameters to consider when approaching more advanced restorations, and the inter-disciplinary perspectives needed in prosthetically driven implant placement. Techniques used to support and guide soft contouring will be explored. Course Objectives: • Consider factors involved in truly prosthetically driven treatment planning • Outline paramaters of Esthetic Risk Analysis (ERA) • Understand clinical impact of materials science, surface technology, and bio-mechanical design • Establishing effective communication of desired placement through stent design and fabrication • Recognize necessity of provisionals to achieve desired soft tissue contouring • Explore possibilities of CADCAM and all-ceramic restorations • Discuss indications and rationale for bone level and tissue level implants Hands-on: • Familiarization with bone level componentry • Preparation of surgical stent • Fabrication of screw retained and cemented provisionals Dates: October 23-24, 2009 Speaker: Dr. Donald A.
